The Nintendo Zone Box is a device meant for retail stores and public events. It’s main function is to distribute demos and trailers for customers to install using DS Download Play. It runs a slightly modified version of the Nintendo DSi firmware which automatically boots into the Zone Distribution cartridge inserted. The only way to interact with the device is through the single touchscreen which seems to be identical to a retail DSi bottom screen. It also has an SD card slot on the side, although it doesn’t seem to have any special function compared to a retail DSi.
